SCHEDULING CHANGE

Due to the recent extension of the Stay at Home order through June 12th, our center will not be opening as previously planned on June 1st. We will be moving our opening to June 15that the earliest. All Phase One directions as found in the newsletter are still accurate. 

EXERCISE CLASS SIGN UP

To sign up for an exercise class at our Senior Center, you must call the day before the class to register. Only five people will be allowed in every class. You cannot sign up for more than one class at a time.

Monday: 9:00am - 1:00pm
Wednesday: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Friday: 9:00am - 4:00pm

 


The building is not open to the Public,  but we are taking phone calls and providing GCCARD To-Go Lunches

During this unique time, we want our Seniors to continue to have a healthy lunch, so the Swartz Creek Area Senior Center is serving a GCCARD TO-GO LUNCH Monday thru Friday from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Reservations are required. Place your meal reservation the day before between 10:00am and 12:00pm to get your desired meal  Click the link below to view the current monthly menu. A $3 donation per meal is suggested for anyone 60 years and older. For anyone age 50-59 or living outside of Genesee County the cost is $6.

CLASS COSTS

ALL exercise classes cost $2.00 per class. You can purchase a $20.00 dollar punch card with eleven punches. So you wind up getting one class free! 


The Arthritis Exercise class is provided by Valley Area Agency on Aging and is FREE to seniors.

Membership & Participation Guidelines

¨ Open to all Genesee County residents over age 50. 

¨ Completion of a “Membership / Participation Form” and update the information annually. 

¨ A yearly donation of $10 per person is requested.

PARTICIPATION FORM: Membership is open to anyone 50 years of age and above and lives in Genesee County. There is not a fee to join the center, but we do ask for a yearly $10.00 Donation, which is not required for membership.

Loan Closet

Our center loans donated medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, bedside commodes, bath seats, canes and crutches to seniors in need. 

Please call the center if you need to borrow an item



Art for Sale!

Did you know we have artwork for sale in our lounge here at the Swartz Creek Senior Center? We do!! Local Swartz Creek Artist Peggy Mattson has her beautiful artwork on the walls, as well as members of the Swartz Creek Art Guild. Come in today to view (and possibly purchase) these amazing works of art!
